Every person is unique and so your experience of counselling will be. I am a warm and open individual who values building a trusting relationship with my clients. It is a privilege when a client shares their story with me, and we work together to explore your understanding of your self.
As a therapist, my aim is to provide a confidential non-judgemental space for you to feel able to bring whatever is important to you. I enjoy working creatively with some clients, when words may feel too much. I usually meet weekly with clients, for 50 minutes.
Together we can support your ability to make choices and work towards a more fulfilling way of being.
I am an integrative therapist, drawing on my training in psychodynamic, person-centred and relational therapies. I have worked with clients with a wide range of mental health and emotional difficulties including depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, chronic illness, self harm, trauma and abuse.
I also have a deep interest in and experience of working with neurodivergent clients. In particular I have supported many individuals to understand how neurodivergency impacts them. I am a qualifed executive functions coach.
Alongside my private practice, I am a counsellor for a charity supporting those for whom counselling may otherwise be inaccessible.
I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy and I abide by the BACP Ethical Framework and Code of Conduct. These guidelines are available on the BACP website (www.bacp.co.uk).
